Can you believe it? A week has already passed since streetwear label Superdry’s AW15 presentation was held at its Regents Street international showroom on 8 January. The Superdry & British Fashion Council London Collections: Men AW15 launch party not only served as a preview for the contemporary label’s newest line, but the opening of London Collections: Men itself. Such an auspicious occasion demanded nothing short of a spectacle, which is what was delivered to the event’s attendees, as the Superdry showroom was converted into an Alpine lodge for the night.
Party goers seen enjoying the launch’s aprés ski feel (not to mention, the Japanese Whiskey & Plum Sour cocktails on offer) included model Oliver Cheshire, Made in Chelsea star Andy Jordan, presenters Lilah Parsons and Pips Taylor, and even England’s rugby captain Chris Robshaw with his singer girlfriend Camilla Kerslake. While nibbling Rueben sandwiches, longhorn beef carpaccio and Lincolnshire poached rarebit, guests had a sneak peek at the latest high tech textiles used in Superdry’s upbeat AW15 collection, as well as its modern spins on classic winter cuts. Before the evening was over, the idyllic Superdry x British Fashion Council chalet scene had us booking our next ski getaway.
