Tennis whites at the ready: the capital’s most civilised sporting event of the season has announced its return for another year. The BNP Paribas Tennis Classic features a selection of the sport’s current top talent, alongside some longtime legends of the game – all amidst the surrounds of the pristine white and manicured lawns of The Hurlingham Club, that quintessentially English home of tennis and Polo.
But it’s not all about the slam dunks, backhands and top spin; Hurlingham is famed for its unparalleled hospitality, as well as the opportunity it affords for spectators to don their most lawn-party friendly frocks while quaffing strawberries and champagne.
So far, starring turns from grand slam finalist Kei Nishikori, as well as Tomas Berdych are confirmed, with many more set to follow.
Anyone for strawberries and cream?
