Roses, chocolates, the usual poetry printed on mass-produced greetings cards: coming up with fresh Valentine’s Day ideas is a challenge that gets more wearying with each passing year.
That is, unless you happen to swing by Ally Capellino’s Portobello store this Wednesday 11 February, when our favourite bag designer will be inviting romantics and creatives alike to participate in her one-night-only workshop collaboration with London-based printer, Harrington & Squires. From 6:30pm until 8pm, guests will learn about the printing process and, armed with their new-found knowledge, print their own Valentine’s cards, while the muse is encouraged along the way with the aid of a refreshing cocktail. Expect a room full of aspirant Lord Byrons, assiduously trying to invoke the ultimate romantic poet. Personally, we’ll just plump for: She Walks in Beauty.
All proceeds are going to the fantastic charity The Art Room in west London.
