The change in season is a welcome opportunity to explore different concepts and approaches to dining, and it also heralds a slew of workshops and classes offering the masses a chance to do so. Case and point, Kultur/Mad at Snaps + Rye. Starting Thursday 12th March, the contemporary Danish restaurant will host a calendar of food-led culture events, heavily influenced by Scandinavian dining. Named for the Danish words for culture (kultur) and food (mad), the series is based on unique concepts, inspired by various aspects of Scandinavian life. It commences this week with ‘Eat, Drink and Be Hyggelig’, a wine-pairing evening led by Swedish sommelier Christina Larsson, followed by The Evening of Living Danishly’ (9th April), a literary salon with author and journalist Helen Russell, and ‘Valentine Warner Cooks Scandinavia’, a pan-Nordic supper club hosted by chef Valentine Warner (23rd April).
