Fancy sitting in the director’s chair? Why not enter the Portobello Film Festival

The Portobello Film Festival – lovingly dubbed the ‘wild side of Brit films’ – came to being back in 1996 as a reaction to the moribund state of the British film industry. Since then it has been providing new film-makers with the chance to showcase their films on different formats, serving also as a forum for the exchanging of ideas.

The festival offers prizes in ten categories to entrants from all over the world, making it one of the biggest celebrations of independent film in Europe.

So if you fancy yourself a bit of a filmmaker, whip out that video camera and head over to the Portobello Film Festival website to download your entry form…you might just be the next Spielberg!
