Colour pop: all hail spring’s new arrivals at Couverture & The Garbstore

The new season heralds both a sensational new colour palette and beguilingly soft silhouettes, signalling to our brains – and our wallets – that it’s time for a sartorial spring clean. With impeccable timing, Couverture & The Garbstore’s SS14 arrivals provide inspiration aplenty, as well as inducing an attack of acquisitiveness, awash as they are with pastel baby blue and pale lemon hues.

So far, our most coveted numbers have to be a silk dress by Berlin-based duo Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt (aka Anntian), the Lilly leather bag by Steven Alan and the Andy bag by Stine Goya; a cotton canvas tote whose whose sophisticated print design seems reminiscent of Christopher Kane’s botanical-inspired collection, rife with crisp black lines breaking up cream colouring.

British summertime: we’ll be greeting you with a riot of colour and voluminous, high-waisted skirts, just FYI.
