BBC Good Food Show launches at Olympia

You can’t swing a (doubtless salmon-fed) cat in London without knocking out a good handful of urbanites who take a pride in labelling themselves ‘foodies’. So it stands to reason that the BBC deemed 2015 the year to launch its BBC Good Food Show at Olympia, a platform where geeky gastronomes and the epicurious will gather to nosh their way around some 100 exhibitors’ stands, all clamouring to feed the eager faces of their willing guinea pigs.

But attendees should have no fear of leaving the show several pounds heavier post a circuit (or two) of the stalls; the producers present have been selected for their focus on foods with health-giving properties, and the onus is on demonstrating to punters how quick and easy it can be to knock up hearty and nourishing fare. As such, visitors should be sure to drop in at The Healthy Kitchen, where a rotation of experts and famous faces, from Davina McCall and Lorraine Pascale to Hemsley + Hemsley and Marcus Bean, will play host and whip up some winning and decidedly non-sinful dishes.

We’ll be the ones looking smug at the gluten-free granola bar.

27 February – 1 March; tickets are priced at £13; book through bbcgoodfoodeatwellshow.com
