We’re only three weeks in and 2014 has already proven to be a busy year for luxury bathroom company Drummonds. Already under its belt is a creative collaboration with designer, cook and author Sophie Conran and now – in the spirit of continued synergic buddying-up – the company has joined forces with internationally renowned designer Christopher Jenner.
Designing Drummonds’ brand-spanking-new showroom in Notting Hill is just the beginning of this multi-project partnership; Jenner is also already hard at work creating a new flagship London showroom on King’s Road, set to launch in spring. Meanwhile, over in the Westbourne Grove store, Jenner has deftly combined Drummonds’ refined style with his own craft-based aesthetic to create a wholly immersive environment. Based on an ‘elemental narrative’ of layered forms, it impressively showcases the handmade heritage of the brand and the organic materials used, from gleaming white marble and mirrored glass to cast iron.
Geometric effects, layering and organic forms mirroring the movement of falling water constitute just some of the myriad ways in which Jenner has brought his concept to life in readiness for a hotly anticipated new collection launching this summer. Tap that.
