Artisan Tip Of The Week: In Season Cheese And Wine From La Cave A Fromage

Lovers of cheese and wine, take note. Nicolas, cheese connoisseur at La Cave A Fromage gives us his latest cheese of choice, along with the best wine to wash it down with.

‘Mont D’or cheese is now in season and came into the shop last Friday direct from the Jura region in France. It’s best baked at 200c for 15-20 minutes. Brush the top with a little white wine and add a few pieces of garlic cloves inside, then serve with a baguette. Wine and cheese go best together when they’re from the same region, so I’d recommend pairing Mont D’or with a Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, also from Jura.’
